Missions Growth:

Tates Creek Baptist Association entered an International Partnership with Robert Fortenberry, SBC missionary to Botswana, Africa, in January, 2001.  The association also established a Mission Action Fund which gives financial support in sending out volunteer missionaries to Botswana, Africa, and other International Mission Board and associational mission projects in fulfilling the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the past five years, our Mission Actions Fund through the association has sponsored the following:

n    70 volunteers, $500 each, to do evangelism, discipleship, and construction

n    Through preaching and witnessing, there have been 1,789 professions of faith in Christ

n    Through designated gifts, two churches have been built - one in Tswagare, and one in Digawana

n    17 BSU students, pastors, and laymen involved in other International Mission Board and local mission projects

n    6 Crusade Teams

n    2 Building Teams

n    Experiencing God Team

n    Prayer Walking/Prayer Teaching Team

n    Medical Teams - AIDS Prevention Seminars in schools; distribution of eyeglasses
